Rend Lake Exit 77

Hi, I am Frankie and I currently work at the Art & Artisan Center at Rend Lake. I am trying to keep up with the times and blog about what I know best---Rend Lake. Rend Lake & its surrounding area has many,many great things to offer visitors. Let's start with the lake itself. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, camping, and bird watching. The next best thing is the Art & Artisan Center at Rend Lake. The Artisan Center represents over 750 artisans from Illinois. The Artisan Center offers items from postcards to cut crystal. All of the major art mediums are represented in the center. The Artisan Center also offers classes, demos, and festivals. The Rend Lake area also has two great hotel/resorts. The Rend Lake Resort is located in Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park and caters to the watersport lover/ fisherman. Season's at Rend Lake is also a great place to stay. Season's caters to the golf lover! The Rend Lake area also has some wonderful restaurants. Less than 2 miles from the Artisan Center is Burton's Cafe. The mom/pop style restaurant is where a person MUST eat dessert first. Next is Harbor Lite. Harbor Lite is known for its wonderful(I do mean great) prime rib. Harbor Lite also has a full menu of other great items and also has a full service bar.
